Based in: Danau Girang Field Centre,

Lot 6, Lower Kinabatangan Wildlife Sanctuary

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise the overall daily operations at the field centre including, but not limited to, staff welfare and performance, work scheduling, logistics, and supply of provisions.
  • Liaise and coordinate with the research officers and project leaders on the support needed for research fieldwork and activities.
  • Ensure necessary arrangements are in place to welcome and manage visitors and groups for their stay at the centre.
  • Manage the centre’s maintenance programmes including the implementation of planned preventive maintenance plan.
  • Ensure compliance of all standard operation procedures and directives.
  • Maintain and update financial, health and safety, and maintenance records.
  • Prepared and submit managerial reports and updates as directed.
  • Undertake any other duties and tasks as directed.


  • Mature personality, no less than 30 years old. Fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
  • No health conditions; active, healthy, able-bodied with good fitness levels.
  • Clean driving licence. Able to operate a boat.
  • Strong managerial skills, with experience in leading and managing staff and in planning, organising and implementing work plans.
  • Proficient in English and B. Malaysia; able to communicate, prepare written reports and handle paperwork effectively.
  • Experience and knowledge/skills in maintenance is an advantage.
